Question: Discuss about the Communication Skills in Human Work and Social Services. Answer: Introduction Over the last two minutes I have heard Tim hyper reacting against the purpose for conducting a basic counseling skills training group for teachers who have joined recently in my institution. The fact that I am presiding as the administrative head of this session I patiently listen to his rants and allow him to put forth his views according to my sensibility as a sound leader of the group. Now, in spite of disagreeing to his views I have to understand the attitude of Mr. Tim but have to strategically deal with his rants as he is as senior pro and I must not say him anything offensive or disrespectful by getting frustrated at this rants. Sometimes it is hard for senior persons to take in the fact that they are to being put under training for betterment of their work. They seem to take it in a negative way something that might hamper their reputation at workplace, that being experienced he still needs training. This sort of perception exists among the working professionals that jeopardi ze the idea of training for further development. Sometimes it becomes hard for leaders to handle such situations. Losing out on an experienced teacher or de-motivating him is not the overall idea of the training. It is about getting to know the new system on the ways it works. Tim is a teacher having rich past experience, but he needs to understand he is new into a system where he needs to comprehend certain things. The situation and the crisis that has emerged while dealing with this group of professional people involves various factors that must be determined in order to reach to an analysis by observing the cause of the situation. Primarily I need to decide whether any other participants think alike like Mr. Tim, which would be a reason of concern. In case of solving challenges as this I would have to lead with a collaborative and patient approach with the group of teachers (Kadushin Harkness, 2016). Leaders need to be ably patient with a team or group members as every member will be having their own opinions and perspectives about things that needs to be respected. The next chain of thoughts that arise in relations with the group dynamics is that the influence of one group member over the other can be a detrimental factor; therefore I would request Mr. Tim to personally have a conversation with me. Negativity is something that has the ability to influence everybody at a rapid rate. So being a leader it is essential for me not to let that happen. According to the course of the situation I would make all efforts to explain the real purpose of this training session to Mr. Tim wherein I will evaluate the significance of the mutual learning outcome which will emerge out of this session. In fact, I would invite him to share his experience of several years of teaching, which can prove to be valuable to the present participants (Miley, O'Melia DuBois 2016). For people like Tim, it is indispensable to make them feel an integral part of the overall system. These people like to contribute and get recognized for the same. So being the leader, it is essent ial to channelize Tims experience and motivation in the right track. In the most convincing and honest way, I will try to build up a coherent conversation and allow him to lead with his tales of experience and assure him that his competence in regards to the number of experience is certainly a commendable job. Moreover, the training session is an interactive discourse where a number of issues are being discussed and shared which aid the professionals while practicing in reality. I will reassure that we are in no way judging the competence of years of experience of Mr. Tim rather we have created this training session so that it fosters communication between the colleagues and discuss on issues on how to make things more feasible so that the behavioral intention of the teachers gets emancipated through this session. The fact that it was previously decided and notified to all the participants about this session which is set to take place during one of the term break days, must not have reached or miss-communicated to Mr. Tim that has enraged him today during this session. The subjective fact that the skills training sessions was conducted in order to enhance the roles and responsibilities of a teacher, as my institute encourages learning and development as a unified medium for both the tutors and learners. Therefore, after employing all the methods I would allow Mr. Tim to keep his views and do not impose the obligation to attend the session from the next day, until he himself realizes the importance and gets the drift of the purpose which is probably the most efficient solution in this case. Unless Mr. Tim understands the significance of this training, he would not be able to concentrate on the training and his negativity would devour the other members as well, which being a leader I cannot let happen. The primary things, which I will ensure is while dealing with the people who have recently emerged from such an emotional upheaval, will encourage them to speak up initially. In the next moment, I would allow them to understand the impressions and the body language of the participant. I have developed this behavioral aptitude of curiosity that enhance and helps in maintaining my performance in contributing to the personal as well as organizational success. Group dynamics is an important factor as it determines the groups behavioral pattern. Group dynamics considers the ways a group is being formed, their configuration and their required functioning. Teams are being let down by issues that are diversified in nature. It is important for all the members to share their views and opinions and the things they have in their mind and come forward for open discussion. Certain quiet members are never encouraged as they remain quiet even in group tasks and does not always take the initiative of performing more than normal or raise an issue when they encounter problems. As it has been known, at tough situations only he tough gets going, so it is important to instill that toughness among members that might pull off the team from a disastrous situation like the present group under discussion. It is important that the group members get aspirations from each other where they share their problems and live together. Working together can sometimes be beneficial in overcoming huge losses and tragedies. I have made the best use of various challenging circumstance by implementing the knowledge and skills of curiosity which shall seek to integrate several operations. I have diligently updated and maintained all the amendments in any official papers and have provided for all the entitlements within the payroll of the organization. In fact I have also proactively made provisions with by encouraging experimentation and innovation that have associated many business associations and alike for collaborations. Accordingly curiosity have led to better reflections and as a responsible HR I have always managed to provide the chain of reference which it utilizes majorly as an evidence of all the communication process that takes place with the organizational resources in terms of the everyday operational and official activities. It is important in stating that every individual has different ways of perceiving things and leaders might find different ways to deal with them as not everybody is of same type and kind. Their emotions and feelings can be different and their ways of dealing with adverse situations. Ravi has been high on the emotional context and seems he likes being in the limelight stating the situations he has gone through, but then in a team, everybody needs to get a fair chance to counter and share their views and opinions they have gone through.
